Brad Jury - Senior Pastor

When Brad was five he crossed the line of faith by accepting the atoning work of Christ on Calvary’s cross. Growing up in a Christian home he was strongly encouraged to pursue the calling of God on his life. While preparing for pastoral ministry at a Christian college Brad met Jennifer who was also born and raised in a Christian home. Soon it became clear that God had carefully placed them together to serve Him as a team. They began their married life together serving in Rochester, New Hampshire where Brad served as Assistant Pastor. The Lord lead them to Denver, Colorado and Indianapolis, Indiana where he continued to serve as Assistant Pastor in Baptist churches. In 2009, after 10 years of ministry the Lord called Brad to Providence Baptist Church where he began his relationship with PBC as Senior Pastor.

The Lord has blessed Brad & Jennifer with Kyle (7), Carter (4) and Kassia (2). Brad’s desire is to see Providence Baptist Church expand it’s impact for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a needy community while deepening their devotion to the Lord through strong discipleship and God-centered worship.

Don Brown - Elder

Don was born and raised in a Christian home here in Columbus, Ohio as one of five children. His family life revolved around church activity and hearing the Word of God resulted in his coming to a relationship with God by His grace through Christ at the age of ten years old.

Shortly after high school graduation Don was drafted into the US Army as WWII had come to an end. Upon completing His military service he began working with his father and learning his trade as a building contractor. During this time Christianity held little relevance for him until Sunday in mid 1953. Don was invited by two friends to attend church, and that Sunday morning he met a young lady named Joan. “I know that God brought her into my life; I shall never forget that morning. My life took on new meaning, and together we began to grow in our walk with Christ.” They were married in 1954 and were blessed with a son named Craig in 1958. He is married to Tina and they have four sons. All of these grandsons have accepted Christ as their personal Savior.

Prior to coming to Providence Baptist Church Don and Joan were able to serve in three other ministries, two of which were new church plants. Joan was ushered into the presence of her Lord in February 2007, after struggling with Alzheimer’s for several years. They were blessed to be together for over fifty years—all by the grace of our great God. “I count it a privilege to serve Providence in the capacity that God has purposed for me. Praise His Name!”

Mike Donovan - Deacon

Mike was born in Detroit, Michigan to middle-class parents, the second of five children and the eldest son.  His family attended Mass regularly and he was baptized as an infant and participated in Confirmation and Holy Communion.  His extended family was Catholic, including a great-aunt who was a nun.  “To be honest, I did not know there was anything other than Catholicism.  I participated in church and catechism till my early teens, but eventually saw no relevance for attending since it had no impact on my daily life.”  After Mike’s parents divorced, his mother, brothers and sister began attending a Baptist church.  He was very skeptical and was sure they were deceived into going because they were very gullible and emotionally driven.  Eventually Mike stopped attending church.  One day he was invited to a roller-skating outing; at the end of the event the youth pastor presented the good news of the Gospel—how God loved him and sent Jesus His Son to die on the cross in our place, paying the wage of our sins.  He knew that God was calling him to accept His free gift of grace.  At the age of sixteen he repented of his sins and by faith trusted in God to save him.

After high school Mike was led to attend a Christian college to learn more about the Bible and Christian living while also pursing a Mathematics degree.  There he met his lovely wife Linnea.  After several years of friendship and dating they were married in 1981.  The Lord has blessed them with four children:  Sarah, Stephen, Christina and James.  Mike works as a Computer System Engineer for a small consulting firm.

Steve Krosky - Deacon

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Steve was raised in a Christian home and was saved at an early age by the grace of God and through the testimony and upbringing of his parents. His childhood years were full of Sunday School, church services, and other Christian activities. In 1999 Steve graduated from a Christian college with a degree in Mass Media. It was during his college years that he met Carol and they were married in 2000. Work and family connections brought them to Columbus in 2003 and they quickly found Providence Baptist Church to be a church home where they could be spiritually strengthened and involve themselves in an array of ministries. The Lord has blessed Steve and Carol with two boys: Max (4) and Kohl (2).

Glenn Rudicil - Deacon

Glenn & Mona grew up on Middletown, Ohio about six blocks apart and met as teenagers. Both of them were involved in high school sports and that is how they spent most of their time. After dating for several years they were married. Glenn spent four years in the Navy followed by five years at Ohio State where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. As young parents they realized that God would have them to raise their children in a Christian home so they joined a church but did not really understand truth until they gave their hearts to the Lord in their early 40’s. It was church on Sunday morning and little else, until they attended a church where the Gospel was preached; they heard truth, repented, believed and accepted Christ as their personal Savior. After more than thirty years of God’s sanctifying grace and their four children all coming to know the Lord at various ages between 7 and 37 years old, the Rudicils rejoice in their relationship with Christ. God led them to Providence Baptist Church after twenty-five years in other Bible-believing churches. “We have found a church home where we can grow and have wonderful opportunities to serve. Praise God!”
